Well my cars pretty much done but the problem im having now is my car is not holding power and if i jump it i can take it around the block then it kinda back fires and just cuts out and dies. Does anyone think its the alternater or could my battery not have enogh cranking amps. I have the battery in the trunk so what kina of battery should i get and how many cranking amps? And how many amps should a good altnerator be?

If its in your trunk I'd recommend a sealed battery like an optima, or even a purple haze or w/e the ctire variant is.
If it doesnt hold a charge chances are your battery might be on the way out, is it old?

sometimes you gotta make room for things like turbos - and the weight distribution has been track proven to give better 60fts

ya, you could also not have it grounded right, make sure you ground the batt to the frame, also the motor of the car should be grounded to the frame.

If it's your alternator, then you will most likely have to charge the battery after each drive, is that what you are doing?
If its the battery, then it won't crank on cold start, it that the case?
Rear mount battery CCA doesn't really matter, the most important part of rear mount battery is the cable that you use.

sorry, wasn't excited - we all know the cobras make sooo much power there's no need to bother with trunk mounts

yep, alot of people that put the battery in the truck, just ground it to the sheet metal, thats not right, it needs to be bolted into the frame, same with the motors ground. right to the frame.
