Took whooznxt's car to the track today [VIDS]
Well it was opening day for St Thomas so the track conditions were less than great, but they did make a good effort to spray it like crazy with track bite despite there only being like 6 people there for T&T........ Not only was traction a serious problem [got better as the day wore on] but Rod was having some real problems with the Tremec, basically having to completely let off to shift up, nonetheless, ran a 10.92 @ 131.5 mph.
How the day started.... trapped 128 MPH...

More of the same... trapped 128 again...
http://www.streetfire.net/video/1985-Mu ... 156444.htm
Got it to hook some, and trapped 131 MPH
http://www.streetfire.net/video/1985-Mu ... 156445.htm
Best 60 foot of the day, then lost traction in 3rd.. had the front tires off in 1st and then in second...

Back in the right direction.. 11.1 @ 131 MPH

Finally snuck the car in the tens, this car is still just scratching the sruface of what it is capable of... and he was really struggling with the track today, mostly because of how cold it was and fog rolling in and out... as well as it being opening day, and no rubber laid down... 10.92 @ 131+ MPH..

All in all a good day.

Wow, nice runs. That track sure was slippery, but still made some pretty good runs.

Frank i'm too fat I couldn't fit between his steering wheel and roll cage
Seriously though, between traction and the trans being extremely stiff to shift for some reason, that was as good as it was going to get.. Rod can wail a stick car good if it's working right.
